Synopsis

The Adobe Premiere Elements instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Premiere Elements installed on the remote macOS host is prior to build 19.0 (20211007.daily.2243969). It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB21-106 advisory.

- Adobe Premiere Elements 20210809.daily.2242976 (and earlier) is affected by a Null pointer dereference vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted file. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2021-40785, CVE-2021-40788, CVE-2021-40789)

- Adobe Premiere Elements 20210809.daily.2242976 (and earlier) is affected by a memory corruption vulnerability due to insecure handling of a malicious file, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability.
