Synopsis

Adobe Photoshop installed on remote macOS or Mac OS X host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Photoshop CC installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 18.1.2/2017.1.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the apsb17-34 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in Adobe Photoshop 18.1.1 (2017.1.1) and earlier versions. An exploitable memory corruption vulnerability exists. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.

 - An issue was discovered in Adobe Photoshop 18.1.1 (2017.1.1) and earlier versions. An exploitable use- after-free vulnerability exists. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
 (CVE-2017-11304)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Photoshop version 18.1.2/2017.1.2 or later.
