Synopsis

The Adobe InDesign instance installed on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Adobe InDesign installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 13.0.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the APSB17-38 advisory.

- An issue was discovered in Adobe InDesign 12.1.0 and earlier versions. An exploitable memory corruption vulnerability exists. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution. (CVE-2017-11302)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe InDesign version 13.0.0 or later.
