The Adobe Media Encoder instance installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of Adobe Media Encoder installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 13.1.0. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB19-29 advisory.

- Adobe Media Encoder version 13.0.2 has a use-after-free vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to remote code execution. (CVE-2019-7842)

- Adobe Media Encoder version 13.0.2 has an out-of-bounds read vulnerability. Successful exploitation could lead to information disclosure. (CVE-2019-7844)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Media Encoder version 13.1.0 or later.
