Description

The version of Adobe Creative Cloud installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 3.7.0.272. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the APSB16-21 advisory.

- Untrusted search path vulnerability in the installer in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application before 3.7.0.272 on Windows allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse resource in an unspecified directory. (CVE-2016-4157)

- Unquoted Windows search path vulnerability in Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application before 3.7.0.272 on Windows allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse executable file in the %SYSTEMDRIVE% directory. (CVE-2016-4158)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Creative Cloud version 3.7.0.272 or later.
