Synopsis

Fortinet Firewall is missing one or more security-related updates.

Description

The version of FortiWeb installed on the remote host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the FG-IR-21-047 advisory.

- A Improper neutralization of special elements used in a command ('Command Injection') in Fortinet FortiWeb version 6.3.13 and below allows attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via crafted HTTP requests (CVE-2021-36182)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Please upgrade to FortiWeb version 6.2.5/6.3.14 or later.
