Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of zziplib installed on the remote host is prior to 0.13.62-12. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2024-2689 advisory.

An issue was discovered in function zzip_disk_entry_to_file_header in mmapped.c in zziplib 0.13.69, which will lead to a denial-of-service. (CVE-2020-18770)

Run 'yum update zziplib' to update your system.
