Synopsis
The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security-related patch.Description
A buffer overflow was discovered in the handling of file name arguments. By tricking a user or automated system into processing a specially crafted, excessively long file name with unzip, an attacker could exploit this to execute arbitrary code with the user's privileges.Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.
