Synopsis

A mail client installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Thunderbird installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 132.0.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2024-62 advisory.

- Using remote content in OpenPGP encrypted messages can lead to the disclosure of plaintext.
(CVE-2024-11159)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Thunderbird version 132.0.1 or later.
