Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 24.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-7071-2 advisory.

 A security issue was discovered in the Linux kernel. An attacker could possibly use this to compromise the system. This update corrects flaws in the following subsystems:

 - Network traffic control; (CVE-2024-45016)

Solution

Update the affected kernel package.
