Synopsis

The remote PAN-OS host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS running on the remote host is 10.1.x prior to 10.1.7 or 10.2.x prior to 10.2.2.
It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability.

 A server-side request forgery in PAN-OS software enables an unauthenticated attacker to use the administrative web interface as a proxy, which enables the attacker to view internal network resources not otherwise accessible.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to PAN-OS 10.1.7 / 10.2.2 or later
