Synopsis

Adobe Bridge installed on remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The version of Adobe Bridge installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 14.1.4 or 15.0.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the apsb24-103 advisory.

 - Bridge versions 14.1.3, 15.0 and earlier are affected by an Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
 Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
 (CVE-2024-53955)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Bridge version 14.1.4 or 15.0.1 or later.
