Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2022 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2022-2021-006 advisory.

 Qt5 versions up to qt 5.12.7, qt 5.14.1, qt 5.15.0 allows plugins to be loaded from current working directory, this can lead to compromised plugins to loaded leading to possible arbitrary code execution.

Solution

Run 'dnf update --releasever=2022.0.20211217 qt' to update your system.
