The remote host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Adobe Substance 3D Sampler installed on the remote host is prior to 4.5.2. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the apsb24-100 advisory.

- Substance3D - Sampler versions 4.5.1 and earlier are affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2024-52994)

- Substance3D - Sampler versions 4.5.1 and earlier are affected by a Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Substance 3D Sampler version 4.5.2 or later.
