Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

- An issue was discovered in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions starting from 15.5 before 17.5.5, 17.6 before 17.6.3, and 17.7 before 17.7.1, in which unauthorized users could manipulate the status of issues in public projects. (CVE-2024-12431)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 17.5.5, 17.6.3, 17.7.1 or later.
