Synopsis

The remote host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Mattermost Server installed on the remote host is 9.11.x prior to 9.11.6, 10.0.x prior to 10.0.4, 10.1.x prior to 10.1.4, or 10.2.x prior to 10.2.1. It is, therefore, affected by a denial of service vulnerability due to a failure to properly validate post props which allows a malicious authenticated user to cause a crash via a malicious post.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mattermost Server version 9.11.6, 10.0.4, 10.1.4, 10.2.1, 10.3.0, or later.
