Synopsis

The remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities

Description

The 12.2.1.4.0 and 14.1.1.0.0 versions of Coherence installed on the remote host are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the January 2025 CPU advisory.

- jrburke requirejs v2.3.6 was discovered to contain a prototype pollution via the function config. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via injecting arbitrary properties. (CVE-2024-38998)

- jrburke requirejs v2.3.6 was discovered to contain a prototype pollution via the function s.contexts._.configure. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via injecting arbitrary properties. (CVE-2024-38999)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the January 2025 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
