Synopsis

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Asciidoctor render.
 A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website. (CVE-2025-0314)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 17.6.4, 17.7.3, 17.8.1 or later.
