Synopsis

The remote Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server (Jira Service Desk) running on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the JSDSERVER-15988 advisory.

 - Schema parsing in the Java SDK of Apache Avro 1.11.3 and previous versions allows bad actors to execute arbitrary code. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.11.4 or 1.12.0, which fix this issue.

Solution

Upgrade to Atlassian Jira Service Management Data Center and Server version 5.12.15, 5.17.5, 10.3.1 or later.
