high Nessus Plugin ID 215220

Synopsis

The remote host has a program that is affected by an integer overflow vulnerability.

Description

When libcurl is asked to perform automatic gzip decompression of content-encoded HTTP responses with the `CURLOPT_ACCEPT_ENCODING` option, **using zlib 1.2.0.3 or older**, an attacker-controlled integer overflow would make libcurl perform a buffer overflow.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
