Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of fluent-bit installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-4323 advisory.

 - A memory corruption vulnerability in Fluent Bit versions 2.0.7 thru 3.0.3. This issue lies in the embedded http server's parsing of trace requests and May result in denial of service conditions, information disclosure, or remote code execution. (CVE-2024-4323)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
