Synopsis

The remote EulerOS host is missing a security update.

Description

According to the versions of the iptraf-ng package installed, the EulerOS installation on the remote host is affected by the following vulnerabilities :

 VUL-0: CVE-2024-52949: iptraf-ng: limit interface name lengths to IFNAMSIZ(CVE-2024-52949)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the EulerOS iptraf-ng security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected iptraf-ng packages.
