Synopsis

The remote Azure Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of python3 installed on the remote Azure Linux 3.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-6923 advisory.

 - There is a MEDIUM severity vulnerability affecting CPython. The email module didn't properly quote newlines for email headers when serializing an email message allowing for header injection when an email is serialized. (CVE-2024-6923)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Update the affected packages.
