Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is affected by a vulnerability, as follows:

 - An insecure direct object reference vulnerability in GitLab EE affecting all versions from 15.7 prior to 17.6.5, 17.7 prior to 17.7.4, and 17.8 prior to 17.8.2 allows an attacker to view repositories in an unauthorized way. (CVE-2025-1042)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 17.6.5, 17.7.4, 17.8.2 or later.
