Synopsis

The remote Windows host has an application installed that is affected by an arbitrary code execution vulnerability.

Description

The version of Dell EMC NetWorker installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 19.4.0.2. It is, therefore, affected by an arbitrary code execution vulnerability. Dell NetWorker Management Console, version(s) 19.11 through 19.11.0.3 & Versions prior to 19.10.0.7 contain(s) an improper neutralization of server-side vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability and run arbitrary code on the server.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Dell EMC NetWorker 19.10.0.7, 19.11.0.3 or later.
