Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the remote SonicWall firewall is running a version of SonicOS that is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability. The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated local low-privileged attacker to elevate privileges to 'root' and potentially lead to code execution.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
