Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-56634 advisory.

 - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: grgpio: Add NULL check in grgpio_probe devm_kasprintf() can return a NULL pointer on failure,but this returned value in grgpio_probe is not checked. Add NULL check in grgpio_probe, to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference error.
 (CVE-2024-56634)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Update the affected packages.
