Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-56778 advisory.

 - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/sti: avoid potential dereference of error pointers in sti_hqvdp_atomic_check The return value of drm_atomic_get_crtc_state() needs to be checked. To avoid use of error pointer 'crtc_state' in case of the failure. (CVE-2024-56778)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Update the affected packages.
