Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of kernel installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-56746 advisory.

 - In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: sh7760fb: Fix a possible memory leak in sh7760fb_alloc_mem() When information such as info->screen_base is not ready, calling sh7760fb_free_mem() does not release memory correctly. Call dma_free_coherent() instead. (CVE-2024-56746)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
