Synopsis

The remote Slackware Linux host is missing a security update to expat.

Description

The version of expat installed on the remote host is prior to 2.7.0. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SSA:2025-073-01 advisory.

 New expat packages are available for Slackware 15.0 and -current to fix a security issue.

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the expat security advisory.

Solution

Upgrade the affected expat package.
