Synopsis

An instance of Nessus Agent installed on the remote Windows system is affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the Tenable Nessus Agent running on the remote Windows host is prior to 10.8.3. It is, therefore, affected by a privilege escalation vulnerability as outlined in the TNS-2025-02 advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Tenable Nessus Agent 10.8.3 or later.
