Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of pytorch installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2024-31580 advisory.

- PyTorch before v2.2.0 was discovered to contain a heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the component /runtime/vararg_functions.cpp. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. (CVE-2024-31580)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
