Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of iniparser installed on the remote host is prior to 3.1-5. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2025-2809 advisory.

Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in iniparser_dumpsection_ini() in iniparser allows attacker to read out of bound memory (CVE-2025-0633)
