Synopsis

Description

The version of Microsoft Edge installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 135.0.3179.73. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the April 11, 2025 advisory.

 - Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. (CVE-2025-29834)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge version 135.0.3179.73 or later.
