Fedora 9 : python-formencode-1.0.1-1.fc9 (2008-6312)

high Nessus Plugin ID 33535

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

The formencode package helps create validators that can check and manipulate user input before passing it to the rest of the program.
Version 1.0 silently ignored one class of validators (chained_validators) that run over a set of user input rather than individual pieces. Version 1.0.1 fixes that so chained_validators are run as expected.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected python-formencode package.
