Fedora 11 : pam_krb5-2.3.5-1.fc11 (2009-5983)

medium Nessus Plugin ID 39539

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

This updates the pam_krb5 package from version 2.3.4 to 2.3.5, fixing CVE-2009-1384: in certain configurations, the password prompt could vary depending on whether or not the user account was known to the system or the KDC.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected pam_krb5 package.
