Jumi Component for Joomla! 'fileid' Parameter SQLi

high Nessus Plugin ID 42819

Synopsis

The remote web server contains a PHP application that is affected by a SQL injection vulnerability.

Description

The version of the Jumi component for Joomla! running on the remote host is affected by a SQL injection vulnerability due to improper sanitization of user-supplied input to the 'fileid' parameter before using it in a GET request to construct database queries. Regardless of the PHP 'magic_quotes_gpc' setting, an unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this issue to manipulate database queries, resulting in disclosure of sensitive information, modification of data, or other attacks against the underlying database.

Solution

Upgrade to Jumi version 2.0.5 / 2.0.e / 2.1.beta3 or later.
