medium Nessus Plugin ID 49988

Language:

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

This update incorporates the upstream patch to fix an uninitialized pointer crash in the KDC's authorization data handling routines (CVE-2010-1322). It also pulls up a few backports and compilation flag changes from F15.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected krb5 package.
