Synopsis

The remote web server hosts a PHP script that is prone to a cross- site scripting attack.

Description

The version of the Twitter Feed for WordPress plugin installed on the remote host does not sanitize input to the 'url' parameter of the 'magpie/scripts/magpie_debug.php' script before using it to generate dynamic HTML.

An attacker can leverage this issue to inject arbitrary HTML or script code into a user's browser to be executed within the security context of the affected site.

Solution

Upgrade to version 1.0 or later.
