Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for libtiff.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 / 5 / 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2011:0318 advisory.

- libtiff: buffer overflow in Fax4Decode (CVE-2011-0192)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL libtiff package based on the guidance in RHSA-2011:0318.
