Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for vsftpd.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 / 5 / 6 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2011:0337 advisory.

 - vsftpd: remote DoS via crafted glob pattern (CVE-2011-0762)

Solution

Update the RHEL vsftpd package based on the guidance in RHSA-2011:0337.
