Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for icedtea-web.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2011:1100 advisory.

 - icedtea, icedtea-web: home directory path disclosure to untrusted applications (CVE-2011-2513)

 - icedtea-web: Java Web Start security warning dialog manipulation (CVE-2011-2514)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL icedtea-web package based on the guidance in RHSA-2011:1100.
