Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for libXfont.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 / 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2011:1154 advisory.

- BSD compress LZW decoder buffer overflow (CVE-2011-2895)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL libXfont package based on the guidance in RHSA-2011:1154.
