Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for openjpeg.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 6 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2012:1283 advisory.

- openjpeg: heap-based buffer overflow when decoding jpeg2000 files (CVE-2012-3535)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL openjpeg package based on the guidance in RHSA-2012:1283.
