Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for flash-plugin.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 / 6 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2012:1431 advisory.

 - flash-plugin: multiple code-execution flaws (APSB12-24) (CVE-2012-5274, CVE-2012-5275, CVE-2012-5276, CVE-2012-5277, CVE-2012-5278, CVE-2012-5279, CVE-2012-5280)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL flash-plugin package based on the guidance in RHSA-2012:1431.
