Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for kvm.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2012:1235 advisory.

- qemu: VT100 emulation vulnerability (CVE-2012-3515)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL kvm package based on the guidance in RHSA-2012:1235.
