Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 5 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ELSA-2008-0965 advisory.

 - add patch for CVE-2008-4690 (rhbz#468184)
 - prompt user before executing commands from the lynxcgi: handler, even in the advanced user mode
 - mark all lynxcgi: URIs as untrusted in the default lynx.cfg

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Oracle Linux security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected lynx package.
