Fedora 22 : compat-libuv010-0.10.34-1.fc22 (2015-2563)

critical Nessus Plugin ID 81840

Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing a security update.

Description

It was found that libuv does not call setgoups before calling setuid/setgid. This may potentially allow an attacker to gain elevated privileges.

Note that Tenable Network Security has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Fedora security advisory. Tenable has attempted to automatically clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

Solution

Update the affected compat-libuv010 package.
