The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security update.

Description

The remote Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) is affected by a denial of service vulnerability in the web authentication subsystem due to improper validation of user-supplied input. An unauthenticated, adjacent attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted request, to cause a process crash and a restart of the system.

Solution

Upgrade to the relevant fixed version referenced in Cisco bug ID CSCum03269.
