medium Nessus Plugin ID 85253

Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 14.04 LTS host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the USN-2705-1 advisory.

Qin Zhao discovered Keystone disabled certification verification when the insecure option is set in a paste configuration (paste.ini) file regardless of the value, which allows remote attackers to conduct machine-in-the-middle attacks via a crafted certificate. (CVE-2014-7144)

Brant Knudson discovered Keystone disabled certification verification when the insecure option is set in a paste configuration (paste.ini) file regardless of the value, which allows remote attackers to conduct machine-in-the-middle attacks via a crafted certificate. (CVE-2015-1852)

Tenable has extracted the preceding description block directly from the Ubuntu security advisory.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
